Catching up Part 2: Feb Festivals

There are a couple of festivals I get to experience each February. One is the Hot Air Balloon Fest in Clark, Pampanga. This year we had some officemates (US based pinoys) join us for a early morning shoot. We left Cavite around 230am and picked them up in Pampanga at around 4am. Before 5am we were already on the air field, tripods set and cams on standby. As each balloon ground crew setup, the crowd got more excited, the photographers composed and shot away. The sun began creeping up and the balloons headed up one by one. It was a sight to see. Last year we didn't get to see any balloons fly due to the excessively strong wind. Next year I plan to be there for the "Night Glow".






Another festival I frequent is in my hometown, Baguio. Yup, the Flower Fest or Panagbenga. As with previous years, the traffic around town gets really bad, the hotels are fully booked and all the tourist spots are packed. This year however, the city government allowed a good number of Press Passes and Hobbyist passes for enthusiasts. This got me access to better vantage points. Here are some pics from this event:
