Fun shoot at the Manila Polo Club

I was invited to shoot a couple of models at the Manila Polo Club last Saturday. The shoot was aimed to be a fun, light, playful candid summer shoot. United-Colors-of-Benetton-ish. Too bad the Chinese female models didn't make it. When I got there, I was surprised to find I was the only photographer for the shoot. First thought - cool!, after a few minutes - oh crap! .

I regained composure as I walked to the location. When I got there I took some meter readings, looked for the best shoot angles, setup my trusty old SB-16 on a tripod (no stand yet) and took sample shots. I had to use direct flash since I didn't have any way of diffusing it (hey, there's nothing you can bounce off on in the middle of a football field, or so I think.) So with this basic setup I took the shots. Adjusting flash direction and distance on the fly as I saw fit. Here are a few pics from that shoot...

Shooting Weekends Awa

So far, each weekend was spend shooting one thing or another. Last weekend's was no different. I was at Baguio for a wedding shoot and at Roxas Blvd two weeks ago for Aliwan 2008.
